DOCUMENTS & STATEMENTS

Get Your CAS / NSDL Statement

A CAS (Consolidated Account Statement) or an NSDL/CDSL demat statement is the fastest way to get your existing investments into Prime Financials — upload one PDF and PrimoAI extracts every holding automatically instead of you typing each one in by hand.

CAS vs. NSDL/CDSL — what's the difference?

  • CAS (Consolidated Account Statement) — issued by the two mutual fund Registrars & Transfer Agents in India, CAMS and KFintech (formerly Karvy). It lists every mutual fund folio registered against your PAN, across all AMCs, in one document.
  • NSDL / CDSL demat statement — issued by India's two depositories. It lists equities (and mutual funds held in demat form) sitting in your demat account with your broker.

If you only invest in mutual funds directly (not through a demat account), the CAS alone is usually enough. If you also hold stocks, or your mutual funds are held in demat form, get the NSDL/CDSL statement too.

Getting your Mutual Fund CAS

1 MF Central (recommended)

Visit mfcentral.com → Consolidated Account Statement. This is the easiest route since a single request covers folios serviced by both CAMS and KFintech, for any date range, emailed straight to your registered email.

2 CAMS

Visit camsonline.com → Statements → CAS Mailback Statement. Covers folios serviced by CAMS only.

3 KFintech

Visit mfsonline.kfintech.com → Consolidated CAS. Covers folios serviced by KFintech only.

In all three cases, use the email address registered against your mutual fund investments — the statement is sent there, usually within minutes for a standard request.

Getting your NSDL / CDSL demat statement

  • NSDL — visit cas.nsdl.com and request your statement, or ask your broker/Depository Participant (DP) to email it to you.
  • CDSL — visit web.cdslindia.com, use the "easi/easiest" facility, and request your e-CAS.

Not sure which depository holds your demat account? Check your broker's app or contract note — it's stated there, or your broker's support team can confirm it.

Opening the password-protected PDF

CAS and NSDL/CDSL statements are almost always delivered as password-protected PDFs. The password is typically your PAN number in capital letters (e.g. ABCDE1234F). If that doesn't work, check the email that delivered the statement — it usually states the exact password format used (some RTAs also require your date of birth).

Next step: import it into Prime Financials

Once you have the PDF, go to PrimoAI in your portal, open the document scanner, and upload it (enter the password if prompted). PrimoAI will read the statement and show you the extracted holdings to review before adding them to your portfolio. See Uploading Documents with PrimoAI for the full walkthrough.

Troubleshooting

  • Didn't receive the email? Check your spam folder, and confirm the email address you used matches the one registered with the RTA/depository — it won't arrive at a different address.
  • Wrong password? Double-check you're using your PAN in capital letters with no spaces. If it still fails, the delivery email will usually specify the exact format.
  • Extraction failed or looks wrong? Contact your advisor via WhatsApp using the "Chat with Advisor" button — we'll help you get it imported correctly.
